Letters without hardware can be installed with adhesive. Plain mounting sign letters with adhesive is a convenient way to install lettering.
What You Will Need:
Acrylic Plastic Letters
Painted MDF Wood
A ladder or step ladder may also come in handy.
Clean the mounting surface.
Use a level to put your mounting template straight on the surface and tape in place. This is a great time to stand back and double check the spelling, spacing and alignment of the sign.
Use a pencil to trace the cutouts at the edges of the letters on the mounting surface then take down the template.
Tape a couple long strips of painters tape onto the face of the letter.
Apply the adhesive to the back of the letter.
Tape the letter in place until the adhesive is set.
Use a level to determine if the lettering is straight. Step back and look at the sign from a distance. Adjust as needed.
After adhesive has set, remove painters tape and stand back and enjoy your new sign!
